Gin
She/Her

Gin became an ALF (Agile learning facilitator) after completing her studies in Psychology and Recreation Management at Appalachian State in 2022. She grew up venturing to the High Country and has since planted roots for her own family. Her experiences in mental health advocacy, wilderness first aid, recreation, and environmental stewardship make the mountains her perfect home. Gin finds joy in listening to folk music, cooking & sharing food with the community, climbing rocks & trees, writing poetry, and homesteading.

Her drive to join the family of learners at Wildwood comes from her deep passion for the natural world and community wellness. She believes children are the foundation to stronger, more resilient, cooperative communities, and delights in the opportunity to support their educational experience! She’s inspired by kids' constant creation and organic interpersonal development in a self-directed setting and looks forward to unschooling her children.
